How it all started...

Select Wines by Design was created as a tribute to the passion of great wines. Over years of travel in search of great wines, we have been fortunate to make many fantastic wine discoveries - and in the process experienced more than a few disappointments.

After a trip to the California Central coast in late 2007, we were again struck by the sheer magnitude of many great (and not so great) wines were available - and just how many people were trying to find them. We began to take a closer look at how we had always searched for wines, and started to examine in earnest as to how the average consumer identified and secured great wines. It was not a pretty picture - and we were convinced – There had to be a better way…
